Josef and Josef KaplickySmetanovo nábřeží 4, Praha 1 20. 3. 2009 - 2. 5. 2009
The architect Jan Kaplický conceived the exhibition shortly before his death as a mythical meeting between his father and son. The exhibition commemorates several pieces of the work of the painter, sculptor and graphic artist Josef Kaplický (1882-1962), and along with the child‘s drawings of the now 14-year-old Josef-the-son, the exhibition represented an imaginary meeting of grandfather and grandson. Jan Kaplický himself designed the purple carpet for the exhibition referring to the unrealised design of the National Library in Prague. |
